Industrial Control Systems, Inc. (ICS) designs, builds, wires, and tests custom industrial control panels at our facility in Joplin, Missouri. From simple motor control centers to complex multi-section PLC enclosures, our in-house panel shop delivers UL 508A-compliant panels that meet your exact specifications and arrive ready to install.
An industrial control panel is the physical enclosure that houses the PLCs, drives, relays, power supplies, and wiring that control your automated equipment. A well-designed panel is organized, properly labeled, uses appropriate wire management, and meets all applicable electrical codes. It protects sensitive electronics from the plant environment and gives your electricians easy access for maintenance and troubleshooting.
ICS designs and builds panels for every application including PLC and HMI control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drive (VFD) enclosures, power distribution panels, safety relay and E-stop panels, junction boxes and marshalling panels, NEMA 4X stainless steel panels for washdown environments, and explosion-proof enclosures for hazardous areas. Our in-house capabilities include DIN rail and component mounting, point-to-point wiring with labeled conductors, integrated functional testing before shipment, and detailed as-built documentation.
Because ICS handles both the controls engineering and the panel fabrication, your panels are built by the same team that writes the PLC code and commissions the system. This eliminates the miscommunication that happens when engineering and fabrication are done by separate companies. Our engineers design the panel layout in CAD, specify every component, and oversee the build process from start to finish. The result is panels that work right the first time.
All ICS control panels are built to UL 508A standards and can be provided with UL listing labels. We design to NEC, NFPA 79, and client-specific standards. Our panels meet the requirements of food-grade facilities (including USDA and FDA environments), chemical plants, and other regulated industries.
