Nestle Purina – New Production Line

Project Overview

ICS partnered with six OEMs to establish a production line that functions in parallel with Nestle Purina’s existing extruders and packaging equipment while integrating with their batching system.

Line Components

The production line includes three dry bulk material bins, a new extruder, a loss-in-weight system, four customizable product transfer conveyors, three cutting applications for the extruded product, and a dryer system equipped with alarm and notification capabilities for operators at multiple facility locations.

Three new bucket elevators provide access to existing finished product storage areas, with three new storage areas integrated into existing packaging lines. A complete new packaging line was also installed.

SCADA & HMI

Multiple HMIs were deployed throughout the facility for operator control, and a custom SCADA screen was built to report current inventory levels and finished product metrics in real time.
