Scope: Multi-site SCADA, PLC, and communications upgrades across 29 locations
Duration: 1 year plus 3-year service contract

ICS was contracted to modernize the City of Joplin’s wastewater treatment infrastructure across two major facilities—Shoal Creek and Turkey Creek—plus 28 remote lift stations throughout the city.
A new Ignition Cloud Edition SCADA system was deployed, creating a centralized data platform in the cloud. This enables seamless integration across all dashboards, reporting, phones and tablets, and PagerDuty alerting. The Ignition cloud server is hosted on a server stack in Northwest Arkansas with fiber and cellular backup connectivity.
The Shoal Creek facility received two computer monitors and 11 HMI workstations for Ignition dashboard access. Turkey Creek was outfitted with two computer monitors and 10 HMI workstations. All lift stations were configured with cellular connectivity to the Ignition cloud system.
The complete project included: a new Ignition SCADA system, access control and security cameras, computer and monitor upgrades, PLC upgrades at 17 locations, HMI upgrades at 17 locations, communications upgrades at 29 remote sites, 4 new control panels, device upgrades in 17 existing panels, PLC programming, and device calibration.
Technologies: Ignition Cloud Edition, PagerDuty, Allen Bradley, Cellular/Fiber Communications
